Why not give yourself a year?

I adopted my first child at 40 and married at 43. Doing so made me a stepmom to my 2 sons. My new husband was 34.

It has been 17 wonderful years as a family.

OP, you need to approach this more originally.

I think it’s normal. I got married around the same age and we weren’t married long before having kids. I do wish we had more time married before we had kids but it is what it is, and everything worked out.

OP, if you want kids I’d start trying in 6-9 months so you have some time for married life before kids but still not too long.

No but even on here many women are pushed for kids as soon as possible because fertility declines at a certain age.

Those posters are probably the same few. Most people I know had kids after 33.

I got married at just turned 33. Had my first just before 35, and second just before 38.

I've been telling my kids to not get married until around 30. Live your life, find yourself. Once you have kids, your life will change completely, and you will no longer have the same freedoms and ability to focus on yourself.

Just because you are getting married, doesn't mean you have to waste money on a wedding or have responsibilities of kids. Just enjoy life.
