I didn’t like the Hilton La Romana. I heard great things but I thought the food was inedible. It is very pretty though.

Did you also post this in the other thread about where to go for 4 days? You may have a grudge against the DR, but I encourage you to look through the list of Level 2s before you single one place out. We did this a few years ago and it was a mix— maybe not a “hotspot” but enough that it made me reconsider whether we should visit during spring break 😉

Yes you are being overly dramatic. I've been to the DR a number of times. If you take a car to service to the resort and stay at the resort the whole time, you will be fine. If you do stupid things like over drink or trust random strangers, you'll be at risk anywhere you go.


This. Use the resorts transit and stay somewhere reputable and your risk of being a victim of a crime are lower than in the U.S.
