I understand that even though these sayings are clever and fun, they’re not really popular with kids these days. That’s why I was so surprised when DD (15 y/o) began to use these kind of phrases. At first it was just in casual family conversation and I felt so honored, like she was paying tribute to me. But then I heard her using it with her friends, and when she did that, she was doing a silly voice and they were laughing. So what do you folks think is going on? Should I feel honored … or hurt?
