Agree with the process stated here, but will say that Penn State is definitely not a back-up to JMU. If a student is on the bubble for JMU, they most certainly will be branched at PSU.

Also a note on Naviance - it’s really not super accurate, so I wouldn’t solely rely on that.

Very easy... our APS HS has links through college section on their counseling office website.


At W-L, you just ask your kid's counselor. They'll give you a temporary password.

Schools want geographic diversity. Nova would be over represented if they just went on grades/test scores.

Is that an intended slight or a genuine comment?
Either way, it is irrelevant. JMU has the programs my kid wants, including a special interest opportunity most schools do not offer/at a higher level than most schools.
