If I’m leaving my phone/keys/purse in it, absolutely.

If I’m just leaving clothes? Nah.

I don’t lock my things at my local yoga studio, which is small and closeknit. I’ve never heard of anything getting stolen over the 10 years I’ve been going there and when they first opened the lockers were really problematic. They’ve since been replaced but I’m not in the habit of using them. I only see newcomers using them. It would be very easy for someone to steal something. I do use a lock at the pool and my work gym, where lots of strangers have access to everything.

THIS!! I once had my bra stolen out of an unlocked locker at the gym. It was the weirdest thing. I went during my lunch break so I know I wore one. Creepers everywhere.

Yes I do. It’s a simple masterlock that’s been in my gym bag since 2012 when I worked out in the student rec center before starting my office hours on campus. I had to bring everything I needed for the day, so it always got locked.

If I'm at orangetheory then no. I can see if someone takes something and no one ever goes near them during class. If at my gym, yes, everytime.

No but I don’t take anything of value. Just a sweatshirt and keys. At 2 of the gyms I go to I just leave them in the open cubbies with no doors.

Yes. I do not want to carry around my car keys and fear they will get stolen. I go to planet fitness, so it is always crowded. I did not bring a lock the first few times and realized I was asking for trouble.

I used to be more trusting, but one summer at a water park, I took a really, really quick shower and came out to find a women putting my clothes and keys into her bag. She tried to act like she was confused, but it was clear she was stealing. I would have been stuck there with nothing but a wet swim suit with no way to drive home. What kind of piece of crap steals clothes when someone is showering? So yep, I bring a lock to the gym.
