Be careful of red tide on the Gulf Coast of Florida, near Sarasota. Make sure to check the reports if you're planning on spending time at the beach. It is here at some beaches even in January.

Miami

It's all about the weather. What time of year?

You didn't mention when you're planning to take this solo trip (so jealous, btw!) but note that Bermuda has the same climate as North Carolina, so it's not the best bet for a winter getaway. To really get the most out of its beautiful beaches, best to go in the summer.

Keep in mind that Bermuda is not that warm unless you go in the summer.
