The longtime coach who was there 18 years left for more money at a pool closer to home. Without a lot of notice, a temporary head coach stepped in. This year, an existing Assistant Coach will likely take over. It hasn’t exactly been as chaotic as you are implying. It’s a really stable team and parent group.
There are some younger age groups who need boys and that’s a big part of the Division change.

You must be the only person that knew it was a temporary head coach because my kids all think he’s returning as do many of the parents.

All of the age groups are hurting for boys. Many empty lanes at A meets last year. The preceding long term head coach burned the boys out after the pandemic. They still belong to the pool but don’t swim on the team.

There is no way that a summer swim coach caused summer only swim kids to “burn out”. Lots of kids, boys and girls, hit the teen years and decide they don’t want to spend their summer tied to summer swim.

$300 or $150 is to the pool, then $80 more to team for activities, so $380 or $230

Rays fee was $300 if not pool member last year. $150 if pool member.

What do you mean by decent? Any kid can join the public pool teams, we like the one at Long Branch, but I don't think it's ranked particularly high if that's something that matters to you. There's one in Bethesda too but I know less about it.

Having had kids swim at the same pool that over their careers has been everywhere from Division J to B, I can tell you the division really makes almost no difference in the experience. They only way it impacts you is how challenging it is to make the Saturday meets. Typically harder in the lower divisions. But even that isn't necessarily true for your kids gender/age group. We had years when a Division G team might have the a group of 11-12 girls faster than the Division A teams.
