My friend is a school psych at one of these W schools and they told me the amount of parents who demand a 504 for “adhd” to get extended time in high school is unbelievable. Parents will even get bogus Dr notes or private evals to get this documentation to get these 504s before leaving onto college. It’s 100% scamming the system
If they are scoring higher with accommodations, that’s direct proof that they need the accommodations.
Not scamming the system. The system is scamming the kids who need time but don’t get it. Call your local equity officer.
This. Kids that need extra time benefit from extra time. Kids that do not need extra time do not benefit from extra time. Multiple studies confirm this dating back to the early 90’s.
I’d be fine if everyone had extra time, not because it would somehow magically increase everyone’s grades, but because it would finally put this foolish argument to rest.

The ACT is a timed test with time as a factor. Remove that and it gets a lot easier

Great job!
I'd like to see it broken down by either SES or racial cohort again like they did a few years ago. I think that gives us a much better idea of the schools quality. This just tells us which schools have the lowest FARMs rate.
