Dyson Air Wrap for me. I've been using it for 3+ years and love it. I take it with me on domestic trips. Hair lasts two days.

I’m in the same situation, OP. I think the issue is that you need to set aside time to practice and have patience for it. IMO, it won’t matter what tool you buy. If you find something that’s super user-friendly, please let us know by updating this thread! Now I’m off to buy one of those wraps you sleep in…I haven’t tried that yet!

Seriously, buy a Con Air curling wand and watch a YouTube and practice a few times. It’s not hard. I’ve been doing it since I was 13

I've been using curling irons for 30 years and I'm not sure how they are hard to use, especially if you use one that has a clamp to hold the ends of your hair.

What, exactly, is the issue, OP?

fine and straight

the issue is I cannot curl or beach wave or do anything to my hair. Forget this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPtQI2p9G_0

I think a flat iron is easiest, assuming you don't want or need sausage-type curls.

Hot rollers. Google set patterns. They're so easy.

I have two left hands and little patience, but the Dyson works for me. Unlike pp, my curls lasted until the next day

I bought a 1.5 inch curling iron and watched a couple youtube videos on how to style it. Mine is just at/above my shoulders with lots of layers.

I know you don't want to go the youtube route but I was astonished at what a difference the curling iron made and not in a crazy 80s prom way, just a nice shape/style, once I understood the technique.

Yes, buy a 1" one inch auto rotating curling iron.

You simply hold the curling iron and put your hair in it going away from your face on each side. That's it.

As others have shared... A wand, flat iron or maybe even hot rollers..

As long as your hair is the right length, not too long or too short, this is super easy. I used one before I went back to a shorter bob.
