I spent many weekends there for swim meets and don’t recommend vacationing there. I would go to Annapolis, Easton or St. Michael’s for a weekend trip. Much better restaurants, shopping and activities.

Ann Marie sculpture gardens are wonderful. They often have fun events like the Fairy Festival, Halloween stuff and what not. They have neat looking summer camps too. We usually make a weekend of the Fairy Festival.

We did a daytrip visiting Historic St Mary’s City and Piney Point Lighthouse. Beautiful area.

There’s also Calvert Cliffs, Flag Ponds, and the maritime museum. Could be a fun weekend trip.

Historic St Mary’s city is a fun afternoon visit, too and the commemorative to enslaved people at the college is very moving.
