One time after a wedding I spent an entire flight throwing up. The old Japanese businessman next to me on the plane rubbed my back and I told the flight attendant I was pregnant. I don't think anyone bought it. I haven't had a mint julep since.

Please share your worst hangover stories here.

There are meetings pretty much everywhere everyday, if it helps you.

I think it's more commiseration, especially since a lot of us are 40s/50s and we know we can't actually drink any more because our bodies are different. More reminiscing of the good times. Sing the songs that remind us of the better times. (OK, now I do remember drinking a lot to chumbawumba in my 20s at bars and parties)

Cool story but literally impossible. You would get a hangover if you drank enough. But you sure sound cool.

Not impossible. Literally or otherwise. I don’t get hangovers. I can drink more than any other person I’ve met. I’ll eventually pass out if I drink enough, but that requires a huge amount of alcohol. But when I wake up later, I’ll be fine.

I’ve heard many alcoholics don’t get hangovers. Honestly, the hangovers are what keep me from drinking much. Who knows where I’d be if I didn’t feel so crappy the day after drinking.

Not an alcoholic here but don’t get bad hangovers. I don’t like getting really drunk and definitely not puking, so that’s what keeps me from drinking too much. Hate the feeling of trying to sleep with room spinning.

I never got hangovers until very recently (I am in my late 40s). Even now I’ll just feel kind of tired and blah for a few hours. Unpleasant enough to be annoyed at the diminishment of a perfectly good Sunday but nothing dramatic. I can usually reduce it as well by getting exercise and having a good breakfast. The loss of sleep is probably the worst of it.

I had one hangover when I was 18 and my head hurt so bad that I knew that I would never drink any kind of as alcoholic beverage again. I haven't.
