And this is the problem with the left's rhetoric around the supreme court. is it transparently obvious that they aren't actually concerned about corruption because nobody has even whispered accusations of corruption about Roberts. Sotomayor is clearly making more money from her position than him.

This is about the left being salty that SCOTUS is no longer left leaning. The right spent decades talking about the court legislating from the benhc but they never undermined it's legitmacy the way the left is doing. Undermining the legitimacy of legitimate institutions are no better than claiming that Biden stole the election in 2020.

The Supreme court has only lost credibilty because the left is undermining it.
The right spent years complaining about the court legislating from the bench and being ideological but they didn't undermine the legitimacy of the court the way the left has been doing.

I was against Kavanaugh’s appointment and still believe he attacked that woman. I however have read some of his opinions and don’t find him to be extreme, at this time. Roberts and Gorsuch are a different story and are morphing into Alito and Thomas on extremism and corruption. Alito and Thomas are poster children as to why there should be either term limits or a reconfirmation period for federal judges.

Doesn’t matter. And Thomas will resign now that trump was elected. He was doing a RGB holdout and win his bet. I imagine he will resign within the next 12 months. Thomas was corrupt the day Bush nominated him to the Supreme Court.

Justices clear many background check hurdles as they are working their way up to being considered for appointment to the SCOTUS and then they pass through the confirmation process if appointed. It's fair to question Clarence Thomas's integrity but I'd trust him with my life ahead of Trump or Biden.
