No one seems to really know but they say it's holistic and no one data point is given precedence. Maybe an insider can weigh in.

Is this year supposed to be same where Cogat is threshold but what really matters is teacher scoring? So looked at but even if strong test scores, teacher ratings is what makes the final call?

Which elementary? We are in Woodson and have yet to receive scores.

Seriously, for what purpose? So you can gloat or feel crappy? Is this about easing your anxiety as a parent? Are you preparing a report. I truly do not understand what knowing some random, anonymous scores of 7 year olds will do for you. Please explain why "we should keep all the data together."

I find it interesting what the different thresholds are. My kid is in AAP in MS so I don’t have any thing to gain. I just find the different thresholds fascinating.

Yes, but isn't that going to vary even within pyramid? So knowing that someone is in Chantilly for example doesn't help a ton because there could be very different thresholds for different elementary schools. Or am I understanding this wrong?

You would have received an email a few days ago if your child was in pool. No email means your kid was not in pool.

Does every school send that email or is it an individual school choice?

Believe it or not, you can ignore threads that don’t pertain to you/ don’t care about. There’s obviously people who do find value in trying to figure out the black box AAP in-pool process and how it varies by pyramid. Get off your high horse and go away.

Yes, universal referral is the in pool. Top 10% of each school. Unclear how they use the test scores. I asked the question and did not get a clear answer.

What even is the purpose of this forum? Why are you even here if none of this interests you? What is the purpose of you being here?

Honestly i think this data will help future parents that come across it to see what it might take to be in a pool since FCPS delays results to the last minute whenever possible.

His cogat doesn’t look great (pretty high math, much lower verbal.) I’m guessing he will not be committee accepted (but will be principal placed at least for math). His iReady scores have always been really high (compared to his AAP sisters at the same grade). I guess we’ll see!
