Just stop. You’re not funny or remotely clever.

Ask your child's coach, not us. It doesn't matter for you what other clubs do; only what your kid's club is doing.

I am going to take this bait. Please stop. I get that you might need to plan or have other things going on that weekend. I am a planner as well with a family schedule/calendar with four kids in multiple sports and activities, that looks like nuclear plans. So I get it.

So, on your end - go to the PVS website and pull up last year's information. That way you can plan what session you are attending and the events your swimmer is swimming. It is that simple.

Eventually the meet announcement will come out and you will input your events officially. There is not a whole lot of planning that needs to be done.

Agree. Also it’s an open. It’s not an important meet. If the timing/location doesn’t work for your family, just don’t go. Recognize that timelines can shift after entries are received. If your child is 11-12 assume you will be driving to pwcs at 530am for 630 warmups. Think about whether you really want to do that.

This troll is annoying as hell. At least be entertaining if you’re going to troll about something as stupid as when the meet announcement is going to post.

There have been occasions where a site has fallen through for whatever reason and they’ve sent those swimmers to other sites. There are also invitational meets the weeks before the January Open so there are some sites of clubs that don’t participate anyway. We are with a VA NCAP site and are not swimming at the Open.

No, they cancel the meet site. PVS is fortunate to have Opens, to have a guarantee meet each month is a big deal.

If a meet site is canceled due to a club's inability to host, how are swimmers accommodated? Will they be reassigned to two separate sites or consolidated into one? Thats a big meet!!

You will see them try whatever they can to make sure the kids can swim and they don't have to turn away swimmers. They will pack the other locations, they will change 12&U sessions to 9-10/11-12, they will move clubs around from their original pool to other pools to distribute swimmers, they can lower event entry limits, etc. They try their best and probably do not get enough credit. Pool sites have become unavailable and they were able to shift somehow.
