Tennessee caught a tough draw having to travel to Ohio State for the first round, but the cold weather won't have the impact some are saying it will. (Do people not realize how cold it gets in Knoxville?)
South Carolina was the "hottest team in the country" at the end of the season and got robbed of the last playoff spot. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

If she didn’t get into UGA, she’s not getting into W&M.

We will visit. I hear Clemson is beautiful and on a lake but middle of nowhere. UTK is cute but not beautiful but nice facilities and cute little town and villages next to it.
DD less excited about SC
Ultimate goal is UGA probably (deferred) so need to visit these in the meantime.
Has other options too (and some higher ranked) but wanted to check these as we like the warm/southern/friendly vibe.
Have you looked into Ole Miss, UT, A+M, FSU, or UF?
Applied to UT (reach) FSU and UF
Definitely excited about those!
No interest in Ole Miss over any of these 3.
UGA is still the final goal. (or California schools)

I prefer access to the ocean or to a large fresh water lake (SC or Clemson).
Was he accepted to any of the Honor Colleges ?
Any planned major ?

(Then we flew to U Miami. Lol. Talk about hitting a diverse set of schools in the same trip.)
The memories of these trips are priceless. And bonus to you because you are already in.
He liked SC the best. Campus is beautiful. Who cares if Columbia is not. TN was full of spirit and seems like a great place. Campus was just ok.
Clemson was nice. Least favorite. We did a self tour. Maybe that made a difference.
Miami didn’t feel like a college. More like a resort. I was surprised he didn’t like it
Doesn’t matter because he was deferred then waitlisted. He is now at a comparable school that has a great campus and college town so all is well.
And what were your thoughts?
