About herself: “I’ve always had an incredibly flat stomach.”
Daughter is moody: “I’m always in a good mood. My sons were never moody.”
When people have freckles or any kind of blemish: “I’ve never had such a thing. They’re just awful.”
“My guys never had sugar. I made everything from scratch.”
I cannot. I cannot stand her. I have to just mmmmmm, don’t I. There’s nothing else to be said. It’s just so. Hard.
Is she lying? Because it wouldn't be rude to respond to lies.
You always made everything from scratch? But Mike said he loved going to McDonald's with you as a kid.
Oh that was for special occasions!
Ohhhh, gotcha. You said you made EVERYTHING from scratch so I was confused.
They never had sugar? Aww, I would be sad to not do birthday cakes or never have any type of special treat or dessert for the kids. Or popsicles in the summer! Well wait, Mike never mentioned that he wasn't allowed birthday cake or that he never had a Popsicle. Is that really true? They had birthday cake and Popsicles? Ohh ok, gotcha. You said they never had sugar so I thought you meant they never had sugar!
I started calling out someone in this manner. It was odd. She would sometimes laugh at herself, admitting she had exaggerated; usually just ignored me. But, one time I got pretty angry about something she said and I spoke very sharply and she pretty much stopped talking to me. Yay!
