RD rate has not been 6 the last few cycles. The overall is 5-6%, including ED.
Duke has told the counselors they expect to release the 16th. They picked that date recently; unlikely it will change. The decisions are basically made—just getting financial aid packages ready

The RD rate is 6 Percent BECAUSE the ED rate is 12 to 13%. if fewer kids applied in ED they would admit less, and those kids would be admitted RD.

A fixed number of kids apply. A fixed number of spots are available. The same number of kids will be admitted.


Is it true that all the recruited athletes are admitted ED? If so, then another reason it's higher than RD.
