If it were my MS child that had been attacked, I would be filing assault charges. I agree MCPS will just transfer the perpetrator to another school, passing the problem along

Maybe because the incident happened off schoool property they allowed to give more details? Seems back asswards but I would not be surprised if the state regulations are written this way to address “community” concerns.

Nothing. If it did not occur on school property, it is not a school issue. They will sit down and have a unified talking circle at best.
