I gave birth in a hospital room that was built for the president of the hospital when she was pregnant.

It was a single occupant room, large with the couch and a TV.

It was better than the other rooms, but not amazing.

If you want to know what super fancy people can do for birthing, browse for private midwife clinics.

GW has a “VIP” nicer postpartum room that has a mini fridge and a lot more space. Anyone can get it if it’s available, it’s first come first serve and an additional out of pocket charge, I think a few hundred per night.

I had an external version at Georgetown and shared a preop room with a Wizard player and his wife. It was Sept so the entire place was packed with the "holiday babies." She was in there for some complications. The nurses asked before hand if we were going to be ok with it since they were gong to have a lot of people in and out but had no rooms to put them alone. It ended up being the entire day. They were lovely. It has been years and they still send us a birthday card for our child who I ended up delivering rather than flipping.

You can pay to have your OB travel somewhere with you to give birth, with all the equipment, like Angelina Jolie did when she had her twins.

I think she moved to LA for her husband’s job so it makes sense for her to give birth where she lives…..

I don't even know who Naomi Biden is! Did she fly super pregnant? Or stay in LA for a few weeks? What a nice life.

Looks like the DC hospitals didn’t cut it for Naomi and she went to LA to deliver. She did have a scheduled C section so sounds like this was the plan all along.

Lol I bled all over my sheets and sweated through them...all I cared about the sheets was that they were replaced! I can't indict caring about any of this stuff postpartum.
