It includes "Financial Oversight Discussion". No charter reviews or renewals are on the agenda.
One can hope that they will talk in detail about the schools that are in financial trouble. To date, the discussions in that first part of the agenda have been more performative presentations of the PCSBs general approach to things. It's concerning that they have schools with finance-related corrective action plans but there is never a formal update on the progress of these schools as part of the public meeting. If they give schools financial targets and they miss those targets how is the public to know?
At a prior meeting where they put a school on a corrective action plan, they noted that the school was far below the floors for finances. The plan put into place depended on the school reducing expenses, not hiring for vacancies (including special ed ones) and getting relief from the landlord (which was not yet confirmed). Sounds like more Eagle stuff -- the school must cut expenses, increase enrollment, get concessions from the bank or landlord but no mention of the specific actions that will be taken if these things don't happen and nothing on how much runway the school has.
