PP again. Could have paid cash but chose to put the $50K in a CD w another 200K and earned more than $1 K a month. So I’m essentially paying nothing for my car.

$788, 2024 Sienna, had a decent trade-in to get the price down, but it's currently at dealership rates. Will probably refinance after this rate cut and get it down to the $700 mark, which will still be upsetting. I miss the last 3 years of no payments.

And yes, we could have paid cash, but decided to take a loan instead. I still hate it, even though I really like the van.

Same, our Corolla is 19 years old and just won't die. Very low maintenance costs.
We had a car payment for a Mazda, it was a few hundred dollars a month. Paid off now and 14 years old.

Just bought a commute car, a dealer loaner-2023 Mazda 3 hatchback, turbo but mid range trim level, with tax/title came to like 28,300. We put down 4k, payment is just under 500 for 5 years with 6.4% interest. We will put another 10k down out of my husbands bonus, pay it off in 3.

I have no idea what this car is or means. Are there different grades of same car? Basic model? What did you put down. What is the length of your loan? What is the interest rate? Without these details your post really has no meaning.

Not only do we have car payments, but our insurance is expensive (teen driver) and gas is a fortune. One car is nearly paid off, so that will help. We usually don’t have two car payments at once, so this is a first for us.

Jesus just looking at APR on cars is insane, now. I obviously miss the days of 0.9% APR. OP, it really only matters what the car payment is *today* for people that have bought very recently.
