I would personally want either plain water or apple cider, ginger ale, or hot cocoa for non alcoholic beverages this time of year.

Ugh no the two liter bottles scream 1986 potluck.

The reason I said 2-liter bottles is because very few people in my circle drink soda. People wouldn’t want leftover cans. Because I would have lemonade and ice water, cups would be needed anyway. I’d ask the host if they already had cups and if they didn’t, I’d bring them.

It avoids a lot of small cans. For a group it’s better, less waste.

How does replacing easily recyclable cans with plastic bottles and probably plastic or paper cups make less waste?

Definitely get individual cans of whatever you're bringing so the host doesn't have to worry about cups.

This and some simply lemonade. Try to get a really fancy water bottle from somewhere like Evian or water in fancy bottles. Those will go faster than deer park which is also fine and it’s just water but do it anyway

If there are tweens or teens get some Dr Pepper. That's what they really enjoy.

You need to know your audience. I know mine, including the tweens and teens. They don't drink those kinds of sodas here.
