They obviously were opposed to Julie Yang as president.

I doubt it. Grace and Julie are friends. Plus, Grace was voted as vice president despite being absent. Clearly everyone was in agreement with the decision.

Then show up friend. Skipping annual election vote says a lot.

Not really. They probably knew they had a quorum and the votes would be unanimous.

Then the vote was not unanimous.

Stop trolling. You're trying to stir up something out of nothing.

2 out of 8 elected officials not showing up for a annual vote on new officers is something to Montgomery County voters.

Not so much to MCPS administrators who live in Frederick.

I'm a Montgomery County voter, and don't know what you're going on about. Six out of eight is a majority. Yang and Rivera-Oven each received six votes. Whether or not the other two members were there to vote would have made no difference.

Don’t know the difference between unanimous and majority. If it was a majority vote, then say so and be clear it was not unanimous.
Two members protested the outcome.

Seems to weird to me to protest the outcome by not showing up rather than just not voting in favor of Ms. Yang.

+1. They were more likely stuck in traffic.
