It seems vanishingly unlikely that much of anything in this thread is true.

Friday nights lights will be exciting for you! You might even share an ambulance with a petite high school freshman who is also dangerously close to alcohol poisoning! #truestory! This is your time to re-live your youth, but now, you’re the parent! Fun!

You won’t be allowed to drive my DC to carpool but I’ll just say I don’t do carpools anymore.

OP - I’m all for a good brew, but Viennans sound a liiiiiittttle too much. We’re one and done kind of people.

Oh an lots of short men, Napoleonic complexes abound. A lot of time, money and effort is spent on coaching, and pushing their unathletic son's to be super stars in VY soccer, baseball and basketball.

And if you are going to fit in that means as soon a Jr. is out of diapers he needs to be in the backyard (big enough for batting cage, b-ball court and soccer pitch) with Dad learning to dribble and catch.

Oh and all the moms are on the 12 almonds a day diet. So you must either be naturally thin or learn to subsist on almonds and wine, lots and lots of wine.

OP - this is exactly the type response I was looking for. Couldn’t have asked for a better description. The 12 almond a day diet among other things will indeed be a problem for us.

Much different places. People who live in Vienna do not want to live in Arlington.

Keep stirring that pot. Eventually you'll get someone to take the bait.

Stunningly handsome and beautiful adults with brilliant, gifted children who all attend AAP center or are in AAP/identify as gifted. It’s AAP or bust. Move here when your DC are in preschool. Work on tutoring/test prep for admission to the almighty AAP. Ask around about preferred educational “specialists.” I can say no more about this.

All youth play travel sports (it’s pay to play and A-E leagues) so no one will be around on weekends and/or available to attend Henry’s Bounce House Birthday Party in Springfield.

You may choose to join Westwood for instant social connectivity OR prepare to immediately be on Parent Leadership Clique Track by being a youth coach, PTA Board Member, joining the currently popular (but waning) local church, hosting weekly Happy Hours (at your home). Pretend you are back in college and rushing a sorority or fraternity. These will be your friends and therefore your DC friends’ friends from K-12.

I live in Vienna. Near Wolf Trap. And it weirds me out that you want to know what I look like.
