Oh my god. Thank you for this- it’s the only thing I’ve seen that’s quirkier and more challenging than our hvac setup. And by an order of magnitude, too!

Between this and the overly ambitious dad, I really do feel better now.

Every home has its expensive quirks! For us - having to upgrade the electric system within a year (was expensive for us as new homeowners who had stretched to buy in the first place). And then there were the pinhole leaks in the copper pipes (they've since been replaced).

The worst is probably all the bizarre do-it-yourself things throughout our home that we've discovered and shook our heads about. And we are certain the next owners will curse us the same way we curse the previous owners. Circle of life!
