Maybe try some better veggies, or at least better preparation/seasoning for the ones you do serve. If it is bland and cooked to mush, nobody is going to want to eat it. Make stuff your wife and kid will want to eat and you won't have to push anything on anyone.

So what’s the problem you cook vegetables and you have your kid eat it you don’t have to force your wife to eat it. What is that?

Thoughts? You probably aren't going to change what another adult eats. Talk to DW about how it is important to set an example for your daughter, especially in today's culture given the obesity epidemic and the effects of the Standard American Diet being low in vegetables. If she isn't going to eat them, she at least needs to back you up in getting the kid to eat them. Tough to do.

Just like…be a parent? Your kid doesn’t get to skip all vegetables just because her mom doesn’t like them, and you don’t get to force your spouse to eat something they don’t like.

What’s your goal here?

If you’re trying to help your daughter appreciate vegetables, keep preparing them. That’s really all you need to do. Don’t make a big deal out of asking her to eat them, either. If she mentions her mom doesn’t eat them, don’t take the bait. She’s a kid and has no place commenting on that.

If your goal is to get your wife to eat or prepare more vegetables you just need to drop it. It’s not something you can control.

How old is your child? I used to insist that my kids eat a few bites of the vegetable/salad. Also, introduce veg and fruits to your kid’s snacks.

It’s amazing the foods I can’t eat now that I’m older.

I also can’t eat what a young growing child needs

The easy solution is you cook for the family and you explain to your child what adults eat and what young people eat isn’t always the same.
