Yeah, the Canadian anthem.
A group of us had to sing it for a kids event and it's so soaring and inspiring that by the end we were belting it out like we were proper Canucks.

I love the Thai national anthem. I love the jaunty song but also the respect shown to it. It is played publicly twice daily and everyone stops what they are doing to stand and listen. It's not possible to stop in all areas (escalators/busy street) but I love that social pressure can still work for people to not act the fool/disrespectful in some small area of the world.

The twice a day thing is kind of disturbing. My estimation of the country just dropped a little.

Canadian- so partial to Oh Canada!
I love the Thai national anthem. I love the jaunty song but also the respect shown to it. It is played publicly twice daily and everyone stops what they are doing to stand and listen. It's not possible to stop in all areas (escalators/busy street) but I love that social pressure can still work for people to not act the fool/disrespectful in some small area of the world.

I have always loved O Canada and thought Star Spangled Banner is pretty but musically, good god it's all over the place, not in a good way LOL
I was in an acapella group in college and we sang both of these many, many times - ITA with your assessment.
