They’re always at Bronx high school of science college fair advertising Also at Sidwell friends college fair. Only a handful of kids choose Wisconsin from these schools. I suppose, given their location, that is an incredible fact in itself. Still, dozens choose Michigan and USC, despite the small academic difference between all three of these schools.

Probably because teens would rather live in LA or have vacationed in Michigan and loved it. The hell is there to do in Wisconsin?

And yet..the average grad at all those schools makes way more than a UVA grad in business. Law is not even that great of a career choice and has a barbell payment distribution.

Wisconsin is a very large, fun, academically strong university. No, it’s not top 20, but it’s a quality education at a reasonable price with an awesome college experience. There are lots of out of state kids from all over the country. There is an alumni network in every major US city. The business, law, engineering, and medical schools are very good. Not everyone will like the cold or the small numbers of black students or the heavy Greek life. But it’s a great school for a lot of students. I have never actually met a student from the University of Utah. I think it’s a very local school. I live in Bethesda and there are Wisconsin grads everywhere I go.
