We’re doing Alaskan king crab!

Supplementing with usual Thanksgiving sides, including stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. Do it’s a bit of a Frankenstein meal, but exactly what I want!

Nuclear family doesn’t love Thanksgiving food. We’ll toss a few things in the deep fryer, add some roasted broccoli and a spinach salad, and call it a done deal. The only Thansgivingy thing will be pie, but never pumpkin. We often do apple, but sometimes mix it up and have cherry, peach, or some other fruit. And homemade ice cream.

We're having a huge breakfast, and then later in the day will graze on other stuff (nothing too complicated...if our favorite pizza place was open we'd order that). Husband and sons will watch football, I will do a puzzle. Nobody in our family particularly cares for traditional Thanksgiving food so it was great to give that up.

The pilgrims more likely had seafood at the first thanksgiving.

Pork roast for us, regular dinner type sides. Traditional TG cuisine is terrible, the sides in particular. What twisted mind came up with things like candied yams, cranberry sauce and dishes with marshmallows?

We also dislike turkey. So the menu is porchetta, lamb, roasted veggies, roasted potatoes. Still adding stuffing and green bean casserole, though.
