... You want the former governor of Maryland with one foot in the grave to be County executive of the second largest jurisdiction in the state?

She stated that she won't run in her first press conference as Acting County Executive.

She has ably maneuvered the Prince George's County Council to carry out her from progressive-to-pro-development policies. Whoever wins, Prince George's County will be badly/selfishly represented as it was under Alsibrooks.

Yeah, I think that Bladensburg may be shooting themselves in the foot with this one. Their county council rep, state representative, state senator and member of the House live in Cheverly. (As does Baker)

I am just glad that Alsobrooks is gone so we can go back to admitting that she did a bad job.

As long as it’s not Braveboy.

Baker hopefully. He’s so much nicer in-person than Ivey.

The Ivy family is a force in PG politics and I would be shocked if she didn't win.
Baker is also a realistic choice.
Interestingly, the two of them live within a half a mile of each other.

Ivy's chances could be impacted if this whole Cheverly/Bladensburg annexation issue gets ugly.
