Is it warm?

DP but I think north Florida weather is hit or miss in winter. I have been there when it was 90 degrees at Christmas and also when it was in the 40’s overnight.

They are just as much. Plus the airfare is way more. Weather is more predictable though. But you have to deal with customs and immigration.

European cities are just as bad. Just booked hotels in London and Paris and both were over $500 for a run of the mill, nothing special hotel. Nice hotels were $1000-$1200. And this is a random week in June.

We are skiers and the hotel room we booked is 900 per night. It is ski in/out and includes breakfast and dinner with the room for the 3 of us at the base of Alta, UT. Food being included takes a bit of the sting out of the price. If you want the convenience of being right on the beach in a nice place, you need to pay.

We usually do an AirBnB which is cheaper per night and we usually do a fair amount of cooking ourselves. That said, I'm looking forward to not doing that for this trip. My husband has always wanted to stay at one of the hotels at the base of Alta, so we are doing it this year.

This is sooo Dcumlandia: being confused when the beachfront Ritz Carlton isn’t in the $500 range during winter break…

Yes "they" pay because we have the money.

Is there nothing decent between Fairfield inn and $1000 a night??

Everyone has more money post COVID so none of us are going to get away with paying a comfortable price now for things that were not for is a comfortable price before.

Yes that is a typical price for beachfront or resort luxury properties in Dec/Jan. The price is the price.

These are a big step down from ritz and four seasons.
