Agree it seems against the spirit of Marty/Robin (who have been great to run this tournament every year) but not much they can do.
Marty Megabucks and Robin Robbery. Paying for one referee per game. Too cheap. Dont care about quality officiating or player safety.
Got to be da Money!

Rec teams do often combine for Fall Brawl at the younger age groups because it’s hard to field a team for it. Many have just wrapped up soccer tournaments, have started their wrestling or whatever winter sport they play, and don’t want to come out for it. That’s entirely different from cherry picking all stars and still asking guest players (who absolutely have shiny helmets) to join.
They've had a limit of 3 forever, mostly a good thing for teams that may need help filling out.Anonymous wrote:If they removed the rec club name from the teams then it would make more sense. That's what makes it confusing, parents see the rec club names and naturally assume it's a rec club based event. Either rules need to be enforced by Fall Brawl and NVYLL member clubs, or stop pretending it's a rec club event.

This is a shame as it does take away from what Marty who runs fall brawl originally wanted from this event. It is definitely not his issue as he would have no way of monitoring this nor should he. This is a great event and I hope NVYLL teams try to stick to just the NVYLL club in the future. There are enough chances for club teams to play together.
