But you can petition for review if your stats don’t meet the minimum. But IDK what the admit rate via the review path is.

Curious where did you read this?

Who cares how he or she spelled it. It’s competitive and most certainly NOT an 85 percent acceptance rate

So perfect that Kelley is misspelled.

Indiana is a great safety school. Has good academic programs, Big 10 sports, etc.

I wouldn't look down on it because of it being an essentially open enrollment school.

Kansas, Michigan State, Iowa all fill a need to let in regular achieving students in. Not everyone is a high stats student looking for a top private.

Do you know why she hates it?

I can see the boarding school --> Indiana trajectory not going well.

Why?

An upset of Ohio State is predicted! Should be a great game.

OP, Indiana publishes direct admit criteria for the various programs. This leads to self-selection in the applicant pool. The denominator is mostly students who already know they’ll fit the criteria, so admitted students ends up being a high percentage.

Anonymous wrote:Question about Indiana ... the way people talk about it here, I had assumed it was medium-competitive. I looked up the acceptance rate, and it said 82.4%. But the stats were pretty high -- something like a 3.7 average GPA and SATs midrange 1230-1340. Any recent real-world experience? Can a B student (true B) get in?

Look at Naviance. Most everyone gets in from our school.

Just a shout out to say it's a great school. My daughter loved her experience there ( coming from a small DC private) and got into her first choice grad school. If you go to Kelly lots of top companies recruit. And IU football is killing it! Go Hoosiers!
