Store-bought frozen crust, boxed Jiffy pie crust mix, or an oil-based scratch recipe are all very forgiving.
Pumpkin pie filling is just opening a can and stirring. Apple pie filling is just slicing and sprinkling.

No, no they are not delicious. You get what you pay for.
Pumpkin has no flavor and apple is cloyingly sweet.
Oh please …
The pumpkin and people are both good.
A $40 pie is not worth $40.
Ok it is clear that you are not a dessert person. Sure Costco pies are sufficient if you don't care about quality or flavor, and just want to throw a pie on the table and call it a day. I would bring it to a large gather where people don't care. Although, I would argue that regular grocery stores have better pies than Costco. But there are some bakeries and where I would gladly pay $30 for a good apple pie filled with fresh apple and not just sugar and corn starch if I was the one eating it. I will gladly pay $30/pie every time we drive by Wardensville garden market and would go there for a Thanksgiving pie if it was closer.
