Is it a "weed out" test used as one form of eval of teachers? Students do not take it seriously so results not necessarily a good indicator of teaching

What was the school’s reason for testing beyond 9th or Alg1? No one we know has noted taken the MAP test in higher grades.

Are they schools with a high percentage of kids testing below average? Maybe there is a need?
