+1 DC has lots of uber wealthy people who don't even try to look good. Women with short hair, no makeup, and hiking clothes to go to a party or out to dinner. But they're worth $10M+
In any other major city in the world, people with money try to look good. Here, it's just about money and job that's prestigious in a nerdy, hyper-educated way.

This is a joke, right? DC is just about the ugliest elite in the country. And by far some of the striviest. Thought everyone knew this. Visit the South OP, insanely good-looking people… or LA, Chicago, NY, London… or just about anywhere.

I think you have the wrong club name? DC Elite are not hanging out at that club.

The overt striving is so embarrassing. I envy those who got to live through the period in which it was poor taste to try too hard. Man, that's the main reason I really envy those with generational wealth.
