The ped said to watch and call early intervention if there wasn’t significant improvement by 18 months. Sometimes these things will sort themselves out and other times it can help to have speech therapy. EI is free or low cost in most places so it can’t hurt to get an opinion.

He used to say mama but stopped a few months ago. He is very responsive though and plays with us as well as with his toys. But I notice other babies similar to DS’ age and they say more and clearer words.
Should I be worried about this?
I think more than the language issue is the regression. I would definitely get him checked out.
+1 to the regression, my first thought as well
Start with a ped appt asap
