The weather is not “the exact same” - no fair minded person would say that.

The Imperial War Museum (main building) is awesome. Redone in the past maybe 6 years and just really thoughtfully curated.

I didn't love the Churchill War Rooms as much as some others did. Interesting to consider what they went through certainly, but way too much on the audiotour.

I always have to laugh at people who complain that DC winters are misery- they clearly have never lived in the northern latitudes. I spent many winters in upstate NY, Canada, and north-central Europe. DC winters are mild in comparison and you actually get some sun!!

Do you know if the boat on Thames tour is comfortable in January? Heated/indoor etc?

Wherever you are, the cold seeps up through the soles of your feet. Wear shoes with thick bottoms.

This is true of pretty much every country other than the US. Heat or cold seeps through regardless of temperature control. Nothing beats the US in this regard.
