The Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade is the only Thanksgiving Parade in the metro DC area.
Held in downtown Silver Spring, the exciting parade traditionally heralds the start of the holiday season.
Did it smell like weed?
No. I was in the parade and then watched some more of it. It was a wonderful community event.
You must not have been at Freedom Plaza, because I cannot believe for a second that the only day of the year it didn’t smell like weed was during this parade.

It’s a parade… not sure why it has to have a history?
No need to have a history, but question was does it have one? So just another celebration spreading holiday cheer. Got it.

Think of it as one of the benefits we get from our local taxes. The annual Hollywood Christmas Parade (Los Angeles), Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (NYC), Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Parade (Baltimore, Md.), etc.
