I appreciate this in a business context as it is better than the man stealing the idea from the woman.

Too many times I’ve seen a woman mention something and get no traction. Fifteen minutes later, when a man suggests the same thing, it’s suddenly the best idea ever.

I understand why people say it, but it is overused.

Maybe your boss was trying to rephrase your point more clearly, or to bring in other relevant context. Maybe the way _you_ want it said isn’t the best way to communicate the idea.

He says this to everyone, not just me. “Said another way” is a stupid phrase and he should stop saying it. I will die on this hill.

I have a coworker that says “to that point” multiple times a conversation. I think I don’t mind the phrase normally but every time he says it, I just think about how he’s using that phrase again and i forget what he’s talking about.
