Subject: LGBTQ feds
As a gay Fed, I am concerned that my spouse wouldn't get my spousal pension, FEHB benefits, etc. that are otherwise entitled to other heterosexual Feds and their spouses. Striking down the Defense of Marriage Act helped me breathe a little easier that my spouse would be taken care of.

I'm more worried about the trans people in the military that were fired than the name of a ship.

There are 3-1/2 more years to go. Trump is likley to declare martial law and stop elections. I would be surprised if his J6 goon squad he pardoned is out firebombing during peaceful protests so he can get an excuse. Most of those arrested for fire bombing, gun shots, and property destruction during George Floyd protests were White Nationalists.

AFAIK the only people being targeted are trans people. I think the military ban is something campaigned on.

I am really so sorry for the pressure anyone is experiencing. I absolutely believe that they will target people at certain agencies and obviously the military has already happened. If you suspect that you have been fired for impermissible reasons, please challenge it. Even a half assed grievance or complaint just to hopefully be consolidated with other similarly situated. It won’t be fast and you might never get redress but if you don’t preserve your claim it is harder for anyone to help you in the next administration.
