Friends of my DS got in if they agreed to the summer start, which my DS didn't want to do. And it costs something like an additional $11k.

Me too! 30 years ago. This exactly describes the kids from my HS who went to Clemson, including a good friend of mine. I also had no idea it was a hard admit.

Looks like a Clem booster has arrived. UF and UGA are a tier above Clem.

NP. Interesting. That would be a positive for us. Definitely don’t view the school being conservative as a negative.

They got rid of the UofSC, but I usually just say U of South Carolina so as not to confuse with so cal.

It’s a great school- I have several family members there and all are enjoying their time, getting a great education and landing jobs in different fields.

She should be fine, OP. Yes, it is VERY hard from out of state, but her stats are fantastic.

I would think YES from Tennessee and South Carolina, too. (Just guessing based off who got in from our suburban public last year.)

Applied to Clemson business school, 4.1W gpa and 1380 SAT. 710 m, 670V

Varsity athlete 4 years and captain

Deferred and then waitlisted.

Luckily accepted at 5 other schools but this one was typical of what I was hearing for popular D1 large SEC ACC and Big 10 or state schools.

Maybe white female will have an edge lol.. one can hope!

Same, all green with those test scores unless the gpa is relatively low compared to similarly-scoring, then there are some purple WL dots.

This. Clemson is the agriculture college in SC. UofSC is better for business and way better for honors or capstone.

Within Target, maybe it's a Hard Target. You still have three others and the GPA stats look great.
