One thing I've always enjoyed living in DC for 30+ years is seeing sitting presidents (regardless of party) visit local establishments. One time my then-BF and I went to Filomena's and Clinton was there. It was sad (though not surprising) that Trump never went anywhere that didn't have his name on it...DC has so much to offer food wise.
+1 for his club hopefully. He spent pretty much every day out there golfing during the other term. I never want to see him in person at a DC restaurant.

Old people are set in their ways and routines. And golf is much, much harder on random courses, especially random tough courses. He visits his own courses because he knows them like the back of his hand. Everyone plays much better on 'home' courses.
He's also a pretty well known germaphobe, and I think he's also sort of a variant on agoraphobic -- which is weird to say about someone so traveled who has had such tremendous success with speaking to public crowds. But he prefers a really controlled, familiar environment (which is similar to agorophobes.). I think he's sort of neurodivergent, but in a kind of atypical way and in a way that's been well masked for most of his life by his money and privilege. The limited food palate, and desire to stick to familiar restaurants and foods, is really common for neurodivergent people on the spectrum. But he's clearly not a textbook case of someone on the spectrum -- he's a very unique personality type.

I loved that skit because it really was the essence of 90s Clinton -- the total policy wonk side of him, but also the id of the greasy burger. With Trump, you get all of the grease, none of the wonk.

He won't be in DC at all. He has not need or incentive this time to even pretend he's working.
I agree with this. The better question is where will the people in his administration congregate? They no longer have the Trump hotel and their watering hole for the young ones, Rebellion, is closed.
I wondered the same thing. They loved having their own place. What about the Capitol Grill or the Willard?

It's because his companies can charge the government huge fees for his entourage every time he visits.
That and it promotes his brand because he gets attention when he leaves the WH. Self promotion is the only thing he’s ever been good at.

He cheats too so that's probably easier to get away with there.
