Typical right wing dishonesty, that's why.
Click on the news links provided and you’ll see the issues were with both state and federal officials.

Republicans could see a boost in Pennsylvania from a demographic rarely seen at the polls: the Amish.
The state’s famed “Pennsylvania Dutch” registered to vote in “unprecedented numbers” in response to a January federal raid on a local raw milk farm in Bird in Hand, Pa., a source familiar with the situation told The Post.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture stormed Amos Miller’s farm Jan. 4 after reports of illnesses in children linked to raw dairy products purchased there, according to the local media outlet Lancaster Farming.
Raid on Farm Sparks Debate Over Raw Milk Oversight and Government Overreach
The case of Lancaster County farmer Amos Miller has prompted criticism of government oversight of raw milk, but experts say the product isn’t exempt from food safety laws.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture raided Miller’s farm Jan. 4 after New York and Michigan traced illnesses in children to raw dairy products from the farm.
The raid was the latest of Miller’s issues with state and federal officials.

I have family in PA and that live around Amish communities. They are strict and independent people.
There are about 92,000-94,000 Amish in PA. Perhaps half are of voting age. It would be very interesting to know how many Amish actually registered and voted. Apparently Amish voted in significant numbers in the 1950s when their children were on the verge of being forced to attend public schools.
Um, PA Department of Agriculture isn't "feds"
And, it sounds like he's had a long line of run-ins with the law over this, seems to me that being strict would be following the law. It should also be noted that the laws he was in violation of were passed by a Republican-run PA general assembly.
But as always the right wing finds some way to blame all Democrats for anything and everything.
Meanwhile I still think we need answers regarding the Trump campaign's boast that they registered 180,000 Amish in PA which far exceeds the number of actual voting-eligible Amish and of those 180,000 registrations, how many were accepted and used to cast ballots.

A lot of Americans don’t even know what pasteurization is because it’s all just milk. If I went on some cute outing with my family to a farm store or a farmers market I probably wouldn’t think much of it unless it was clearly labeled Raw. Sushi is clearly raw just off appearance, milk is not.
Anonymous wrote:Ahh yes. We should go back to the old ways like the Amish like back in the 1600s when people would routinely die from things that nowadays are completely preventable.

If someone wants to, they should be able too. Most posters on this forum think people should be able to do all the weed they want. But knowingly selling or drinking unpasteurized milk should get you raided by a SWAT team?
This sh!t is why y’all lost.
Because you’re nuts.
Knowingly is the operative word. Apparently the buyers did not know the milk was unpasteurized and caused a lot of people to get sick. Surely you can understand that. Or do you not care about the quality and safety of the food you serve your children. Sad.
If I’m buying milk directly from a dairy farm, and there’s no label on it that says “pasteurized”, then a reasonable person should assume it’s probably raw milk and it *might* have pathogens in it. I’d call that “informed consent”. They CHOSE to buy it and give it to their kids. They weren’t being deceived.
I make the *choice* to eat sushi and raw oysters. I know there’s a small chance I could get sick. Maybe even die. Don’t care. I’m still eating sushi and raw oysters.
I made the choice. Otherwise I’d be eating cooked seafood instead. But cooked fish is for Puritans. Yuck.
You’re an awful person. A lot of people aren’t aware of the dangers of raw milk, especially now with the dumb influencers promoting it. Their children shouldn’t have to suffer.

"My body my choice" only applies to Dems, obviously. Hypocrites.
The kids weren't given a choice. So your analogy is dumb as rocks (also on brand).
