No way.
The right has TQ+ in the crosshairs because it's a softer target. LGB is in the blast radius.
This is true. My trans friends are terrified. Trump’s language about trans people has been reminiscent of interwar Germany. They are afraid of being rounded up and put into camps. If you have trans friends call them up and offer support.
Even the conservatives in this country are so libbed up that they can't admit that they hate transgender people. They'll say things like, "I don't hate trans people, I just believe that..." and "I don't hate or want them to die but...". The religious right is invested in thinking they're good people. Once they're sending trans people to camps, they won't be able to claim they're the good ones any longer. Once the right in general starts just saying they hate people that are trans, gay, LGBTQ, queer, gay, etc then I'd start worrying about camps.
All that being said, I think trans people are going to be banned from playing all sports. They can't ban trans people from participating in local recreational sports but I wouldn't be surprised if they try to make a cultural shift where trans people aren't even allowed to play ultimate frisbee in with mixed teams.

Obviously, I support her 100%, but I can’t lie and say things are going to be fine for LGBTQI of any age. It’s not going to make her feel better to know that other segments of the population will suffer also. She grew up after Obergefell and had a vision of her life as a normal one - being able to be public about having a girlfriend, maybe getting married or having kids one day. Now that seems like it will disappear. This election she has already experienced harassment from men based on her sexuality. It seems like they are emboldened.
What are you saying to your kids? How are you supporting them. What are you able to offer them as hopeful in their future? How are people going to fight to protect them, especially if Trump ends up with all 3 branches? How do we protect them against that power?
I’m a gay man in my late 40s. I came out in the 1990s. I’ve been here before. Your daughter needs to make sure that she lives in an accepting and safe place. A liberal city, in a liberal state. Suburban Virginia isn’t going to cut it. We live in DC proper and are rich white men. We’ll see how things play out but our back up plan is moving to Boston.
Suburban VA lesbian says hi. I have no idea what you are talking about. My partner and I feel happy and safe here and I don’t see that changing. We aren’t blue haired loons though.

None of them talk about trans issues, much less harass them. I've honestly never even heard of anyone who is trans, much less a normal lesbian being messed with in any way. This reminds me of looney conservatives thinking Obama was going to take their guns and bible.
She's probably worried about her daughter being physically or verbally assaulted. Some men believe in "corrective rape". Conservatives ran a very anti-LGBT campaign.
Enough with the hysteria. Most people including Republicans don't care who you have sex with. Do you really think some guy in a MAGA hat is going to rape your daughter because they believe in "corrective rape"?
Most people absolutely do care. Even in the most left leaning areas you get right wing a-holes being bigots to queer people. If you aren’t queer how would you know?
