DP, calling him “wayward” is pathetic and not putting nearly enough blame on his active choice to break his marriage vows.
I would replace "wayward" with "deceitful" and be honest with yourself that he is no longer worthy of your trust. His cheating is not a reflection of your value. Neither are the comments on here by the crazy, misogynistic poster.

Why are we feeding this narrative? Sometimes, the other woman is at or above their league. It doesn't matter because their cheating is rarely a reflection of your value. It's a reflection of their integrity. Instead of telling ourselves these stories, why not start by considering that you might be happier and better off without your cheating spouse?

The woman who wrote that post needs to find another narrative for why she's staying with the man who cheated on her. The other woman didn't owe her anything. He vowed fidelity. By staying with him, regardless of the stories she tells herself, she's permitting him to break that vow repeatedly. At what point does his cheating become his fault instead of the other woman's fault?
