The side effects have been very rough for me. Wegovy is not a walk in the park, by any means.
What are the side effects? I'm seriously contemplating it after seeing two friends use it with great success, but I am leery of side effects.
PP here.
First there is the GI stuff. Diarrhea and stomach pain at first. Worst pain with diarrhea I've ever had. Then that became constipation that was even worse -- multiple impactions that I though I might have to go to urgent care for. I have to be very careful about getting enough fiber, and I've finally broken down and added a stool softener. I had chest pain that traveled into my neck a couple of weeks ago. Thought I was having a heart attack. Nope, just a really weird manifestation of GERD from the Wegovy.
Probably the worst thing for me though, the thing that made me almost quit, was fatigue and weakness. At one point I could barely get myself out of the house to walk my dogs up and down the block. I made it to work, but I remember one day early on I literally put my head down and thought "I think I have to go home even though I only have two more hours at work." My DH and I went to see Big Meadows at SNP and we got out of the car and chose to do what is basically just a walk in the woods on a road with no elevation, and it was tough to even do that for 20 mins. I was just exhausted. Fortunately, it has now lifted. But it was a problem for several months.
Also: Some blurry vision the day after the shot. Some depression a day or two after the shot. Some gas and bloating.
Fortunately, I have had zero nausea and vomiting.

Anonymous wrote:I used Zepbpund/tirzepatide to lose my excess weight. I had 30 pounds to lose to get to a healthy BMI, from 30 to the low 20s. I’ve lost 23 so far in 10 weeks and didn’t have to alter any of my lifestyle because I already live the lifestyle of a very fit and healthy person – 1400 cal a day, 100 g of protein, Three times a week weight training and daily walks in zone two cardio. I just needed a boost from the GLP one agonists. I’ve had very little side effects and was able to manage them all. I hydrate really well and consume lots of fiber to be sure moving everything like I need to, and my dose has stayed very low because I use the compounded version. You can buy it anywhere online and need to do some research. If everything goes well, and I lose all the weight and this helps me reset my metabolism, I will truly look on This is the best thing that ever happened to my health.

I’m on Wegovy and my target is to get to ten pounds under 30 BMI. I’m about 2/3 the way there after four months so I’m doing pretty well.
