My issue is when he is yelling/berating shaming certain players by calling them names, for example, “entitled” because their “parents can afford to send them to a private school” does not seem appropriate since in context it had nothing to do with their performance. Actually I don’t think it’s really appropriate for any adult to try to shame a child by calling them entitled in front of their teammates.
Don't want to judge what is appropriate but when a coach loses respect for the kids, it is time for them to move on. All kids seem immature and entitled to old folks. Everybody should have the clown coach once, the buddy coach once, the disinterested coach once once, the young coach once, the old coach one, etc. Having the clown coach more than once is a recipe for kids quiting sports. Hopefully the players get a different coach next year.Anonymous wrote:Even if there may be some truth to it, do you think it’s appropriate for a Soccer Coach to tell a group of teenage girls that they are immature and entitled? This was said in an insulting and demeaning way, not in a joking way.
