Having studied and worked with priests - I found the characters highly plausible and believable.
The twist at the end was hilarious. The medical condition is rare but it is possible. I don’t think it was supposed to be taken too literally but was a commentary on the cardinal most able to maintain a high commitment to spiritual ethics and sensitivity to tragic realities for many Catholics around the world.
We enjoyed it and the movie was much more intelligent than the vast majority of alternate choices available at the cinema.
