One of my recent faves that I couldn’t put down was Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanon.

The best serial killer books are a trilogy by JD Barker - The Fourth Monkey Killer.

They are SO good!

I love Frieda! I’ve read almost all of her books - I even enjoyed the Coworker (and everyone seems to hate it…). I can’t find another author quite like her but I’ve read lots of thrillers.

I wouldn’t rate any of these that I’ve listed below 5⭐️ (I’m a harsh critic with a short attention span!) but these are recent reads of mine, I finished them and they entertained me:

The Arrangement
What Have You Done - Shari Lapena
Kill for me, Kill for You
What Lies in the Woods
the Prediction - Faith Gardner
The Next Mrs Wimberly
A Familiar Stranger - AR Torre

Currently reading The Drowning Woman and am enjoying it so far!

I was going to recommend None of this is True as well, particularly in audiobook format.

Anonymous wrote:Have you read Michael Crichton? Some of his stuff is kind of dated now, but he is the king of the sci fi/tech thriller.

“Andromeda Strain,” “Timeline,” “Congo,” “Sphere,” and of course both “Jurassic Park” novels.

His plots are so fantastic!

+1 to this!
He is a master.

Check out Jonathan Kellerman

He has a zillion books and while they're a bit formulaic, they're always entertaining

Another one is Michael Connelly - he has books both from the detective side (he wrote the books Bosch is based on) as well as from the lawyer side (Lincoln Lawyer)

And if you're looking for classic legal thrillers, look no farther than Scott Turow!

Does anyone read Meghan Miranda?

She turned to publishing independent authors instead. https://www.today.com/popculture/books/gillian-flynn-new-book-imprint-rcna71798

Sharp Object and Dark Places are better than Gone Girl.

I just read (and liked) The Grownup, by Gillian Flynn. Found it on Libby. It’s shorter than her others - either a novella or a short story. I’d describe it as part thriller, part Gothic horror.

I actually have “The House Across The Lake” by Riley Sager that I received recently as a gift.

OP Here

That's a good one too! Lock Every Door by him is great too.
